The Majestic Athletic story began in the 1950s, when Mary Capobianco endeavored to open her own sewing mill. After working in the booming garment industry of Bangor, Pennsylvania, she realized she could work just as hard for herself and get much more in return. She started with women's clothing, blouses mostly. The company was called Maria Rose Fashions, and served well-dressed women from coast to coast. It was a far cry from athletic apparel, but it demanded the same attention to detail. After learning the garment business first-hand, her son Faust Capobianco, III, followed in her footsteps. In 1976, he founded the Majestic Athletic you know today. Well, almost. The spirit was there, but the company hadn't made it to the big leagues yet. That happened in 1982, when Majestic introduced their first Major League Baseball batting practice jersey. This relationship grew in 1984 when the company signed their first MLB National Licensing Agreement, which brought fans the high-quality apparel they needed to truly show their team's colors. Since the beginning, Majestic Athletic's philosophy has been simple: create the highest-quality athletic wear with a commitment to heritage, craftsmanship, and authenticity. And even though the company hit the big leagues, they still take time to add the hand-stitched details that got them where they are.  Phillies emblem started to wash off. May 3, 2009

Had this tshirt or a couple of weeks now. I think I have worn it about 5-6 times. After the last wash the Phillies emblem is partially faded off which makes it look like one of those knockoff shirts. The only thing great about this t-shirt is that it is fairly thick and seems to be well made. Just the emblems are not that great.

Just last night, sometime around 10:00 pm, my home team Philadelphia Phillies baseball team WON the World Series!!!
Philadelphia fans were starting to get used to disappointments, because we've been unable to win a championship of any kind since 1983 when the 76ers won (basketball team).
Now, with the Phillies winning the World Series, we can celebrate a victory that we will never *ever* forget, and I believe, as a Phillies fan, we appreciate this championship more than anything else at the moment. If forced to make me choose, I'd probably say the 1980 World Series was a little bit better, because that was the very first time the Phillies won the World Series.
However, last nights win was *especially* well deserved because of the whole rain delay/suspended game that was forced to happen a couple days before. For the first time ever, the final World Series game actually started in the bottom of the 6th inning, and only lasted an hour and a half, if that.
So, let's talk about the shirt! This is just the classic style shirt with classic logo that the Phillies have had for what seems like forever now. Everyone in Philadelphia should be proud to wear this shirt, and proud their baseball team brought home a championship after 25 years of waiting. Great job Phillies!!! I'm glad Harry Kalas got to experience this moment. He's the best announcer ever, in my opinion.
