The Majestic Athletic story began in the 1950s, when Mary Capobianco endeavored to open her own sewing mill. After working in the booming garment industry of Bangor, Pennsylvania, she realized she could work just as hard for herself and get much more in return. She started with women's clothing, blouses mostly. The company was called Maria Rose Fashions, and served well-dressed women from coast to coast. It was a far cry from athletic apparel, but it demanded the same attention to detail. After learning the garment business first-hand, her son Faust Capobianco, III, followed in her footsteps. In 1976, he founded the Majestic Athletic you know today. Well, almost. The spirit was there, but the company hadn't made it to the big leagues yet. That happened in 1982, when Majestic introduced their first Major League Baseball batting practice jersey. This relationship grew in 1984 when the company signed their first MLB National Licensing Agreement, which brought fans the high-quality apparel they needed to truly show their team's colors. I recently purchased this jacket as I was looking for such an item for a while...
It is a very light-weight jacket, yet warm enough that I could probably wear just a T-shirt and a fleece sweater along with this jacket...
I am leary about ordering jackets sight unseen, because my arms are short, I am usually concerned about sleeve length, i.e. 3/4 length sleeves are IDEAL for me...
Fortunately, the sleeve length was not as bad as it could have been; the sleeves fall just past the palm of my hand, and I do not have to push the sleeves up past my wrists constantly...
Something that I would LOVE to see when purchasing clothing items that people are thinking about buying here would be measurements of the item, such as the sleeve length, the length from collar to waistband, and et cetera...

The Red Sox are my team. I love 'em to death, even though I live three thousand miles away from their home games and have only been to Boston once. But I can't help myself, I'm a Red Sox girl, so I bought this super jacket to let the world know that my heart bleeds Boston red. I didn't know it was going to be so comfy when I ordered it, but it is, super looking, super comfy, can't ask for more than that.
