| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description Little sluggers can get the swing of things with this Teeball Starter Set that helps sharpen skills. The set features patented hardware with a free batting tee design, three-piece high-impact support flange, rotating ball positioning arm and "Infinite Height" adjustment system, injection molded home plate and a flexible PVC ball holder. An all-weather practice ball is attached to a 14'L elastic cord, so retrieving batted balls is a cinch. Set also includes a 25"L wooden bat, a youth sized batting glove, rotation molded vinyl ball, instructions and batting tips.
Editorial Review Besides being a beginning baseball player, there are so many other reasons why one might want to own this durable set: a small yard, a lack of a pitcher, a rainy day, all come to mind. It features an easily assembled swiveling tee, which stands atop a rubber home plate and can adjust for height. An extra base and pitching rubber are also included (we're not sure why in a T-ball practice unit, but at least kids will be ready when they start playing for real) as is a batting glove. The bat is real wood and, though smaller than regulation, really packs a punch. In our unscientific test, the rubber baseball really sailed and, thanks to an elastic cord, came bouncing back. So what does it all have to do with Barry Bonds? Not much. But get a youngster started on this early and maybe they'll end up being a two-time MVP. --John Moe

Not durable at all March 9, 2006 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
My son received this as a birthday present and was so excited to use it...he loves baseball. We put it together and on his second "pitch" using the Tee stand, the stand broke. It has a great concept of attaching the ball to the base with the rope but when a 4 yr old can break the stand by simply swinging, it's not made very sturdy.
Good if you live near a busy area March 14, 2005 12 out of 12 found this review helpful
My son got this toy when he was 4. He is now 6 and still uses it. I like that the ball has a cord attached to it. It's great for us since we live on a major street so when we play in the front yard, I don't have to worry about it going in the street and getting lost. (We don't have a backyard) It isn't very durable. The cord on ours has broken a couple of times so I have just tied it back together so it works. Also, my son keeps hitting the T stand instead of the ball and the stand has come off many times. I just have to keep putting it back on. It is falling apart now that it has been 2 years years, but my son still likes it and it works good for us.
BROKEN ON THE FIRST USE!! January 15, 2005 21 out of 21 found this review helpful
My husband and I decided to get this for our 4 year old daughter to teach her how to hit before t-ball season started. It was easy to use,but after several tries that afternoon...it broke. My daughter missed the ball and instead, she hit the post that the ball sits on. It broke completely off of the base and there is no way to fix it. We will have to buy a new one. If my four year old daughter can break break it after only a few swings, this is not the most durable product. I seriously suggest you shop around before purchasing.
