| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description Chris Chambliss played for the Indians, Yankees and Braves during his 17-year-long career, winning AL Rookie of the Year honors in 1971 while with the Indians. He joined the Yankees in 1974 and became a part of Bronx Bomber lore when, during the ninth inning of Game Five of the 1976 ALCS against the Royals at Yankee Stadium, he crushed a first-pitch, walk-off home run off Mark Littell that sent the Yankees to their first World Series since 1964. The Yankees didn't win the Series that year, but, with Chambliss still on the team, they won back-to-back Championships in 1977 and 1978. Chambliss was also with the Yankees, as hitting coach, when they won four World Series between 1996 and 2000, and as of 2006 he is the hitting coach for the Cincinnati Reds. Chris Chambliss has hand signed this authentic MLB baseball and added the inscription, "10/14/76 Walk Off HR." A Steiner Sports Certificate of Authenticity is included.
