The cry of wait till next year continues in Brooklyn. They also lost to the Yanks in 1947 and 1949. But they continued to lose in 1953 and it was only in 1955 that they could claim the championships.
I would like to see this one again. I am sure it had many exciting moments. In one game there was a pop-up to the infield that no one called for and at the last minute Billy Martin made a mad dash to make the catch.
